About The Last Drop
A small, independent publisher of plain-language guides to the men’s health problems nobody explains — starting with the last few drops after you pee. This page says who writes them and to what standard.
What this site is
The Last Drop publishes two kinds of thing: free articles, and short paid PDF guides. Both cover the same territory — post-urination dribbling, the pelvic floor, sleep, bathroom habits — in the same register: direct, unembarrassed, and careful about what is and is not known.
It started with one specific, common, almost never discussed subject and grew from there. The articles are free and always will be. The guides are a one-time payment, with no subscription and no email sequence required to get the file.
Who writes it
The articles and guides are written by our editorial team. We are writers and researchers, not clinicians. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, and we do not give individual medical advice — by email or anywhere else. When a topic needs a doctor, the article says so, and says what to tell them.
How the articles are written
Every article follows the same rules, and you can check them against the page you are reading:
- Claims about how common something is, how the body works, or what is recommended are traced to a named source — clinical guidance (NICE, NHS), peer-reviewed research, or an established patient organisation. The sources are listed at the end of the article and linked, so you can read what we read.
- We use hedged language on purpose. “May help”, “many men find”, “is associated with”. We never say cure, treat, or prevent, because nothing we publish does those things.
- Every article shows its publication date and, when the content changes, an update date. If a source is superseded or we got something wrong, we fix the article rather than leaving it.
- Illustrations are diagrams drawn for the article. No stock photography posing as clinical imagery.
- Articles exist in English and Brazilian Portuguese. The Portuguese edition is written for a Brazilian reader, not machine-translated, and each edition links to the other.
What we do not do
- No supplements, no devices, no affiliate links. We sell PDFs and nothing else.
- No sponsored content. Nobody pays to appear in an article.
- No scare tactics. Most of what we write about is normal, common, and manageable, and the articles say so.
- No selling or sharing of reader data. See the privacy policy for exactly what is collected, which is very little.
How we make money
People buy the guides. Payment is a one-time charge processed by Stripe with a discreet billing descriptor. There is no subscription, no upsell sequence after purchase, and the free articles are not gated behind an email address.
Corrections
If you find an error — a figure, a source, a claim that overreaches — tell us. We check it, fix the article, and revise the update date. We would rather be corrected than be wrong in public.
